This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a diverse range of commercial agreements.
• Provide legal guidance to product and engineering teams regarding the legal implications associated with Hello Heart's mobile application and AI/ML-driven functionalities.
• Create and offer advice on legal materials intended for product-facing purposes.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and oversee vendor and supplier contracts.
• Assist the Compliance department with adherence to HIPAA, FDA, FTC, CMS, and HHS OIG standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and sustain effective legal processes.
• Deliver daily legal advice to commercial and product teams.
• Monitor changes in digital health legislation and regulations.
• Support special projects, investigations, and new business initiatives as required.
• Over 5 years of legal experience, encompassing a blend of transactional and product counseling, including risk assessment related to regulations.
• Experience in a law firm is essential; in-house experience in healthcare, digital health, or medical devices is preferred.
• Proven experience providing advice on product and technology issues, including legal risks and considerations pertaining to data privacy, AI/ML, intellectual property, or FDA-regulated products.
• Demonstrated history of drafting and negotiating commercial agreements of varying intricacies.
• Experience in negotiating SaaS, technology, and vendor procurement contracts.
• Knowledge of key regulatory frameworks in digital health, including HIPAA, FDA, FTC, and CMS.
• Strong judgment in recognizing risks and formulating practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Highly organized with the capacity to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player ready to contribute across a broad spectrum of legal and business requirements.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, effective in a remote setting.
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited U.S. law school; licensed and in good standing with a state bar.
