Senior Corporate Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with and assist various departments across the organization, concentrating on commercial contracts, data privacy, employment/HR, compliance, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

• Examine, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts with technology partners, vendors, and clients, with a focus on professional services, SaaS, software licensing, and software development engagements.

• Offer legal counsel on employment and HR issues, review and modify HR policies, and manage HR/employment pre-litigation and litigation cases.

• Provide guidance to the Legal Department and cross-functional teams in information security, procurement, product development, and engineering regarding privacy and information security issues.

• Deliver legal advice concerning compliance, privacy, and information security-related customer and regulatory inquiries and investigations.

• Oversee and refresh policies and procedures to ensure global compliance with anti-corruption, anti-bribery, export control, and conflicts-of-interest regulations.

• Counsel on strategic legal and business issues.

• Conduct or coordinate research on legal inquiries and business matters.

• Develop and implement legal processes for local and global legal and operational units.

• Collaborate with and manage outside counsel on advice, research, filings, disclosures, and various projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree or equivalent legal qualification from an accredited institution.

• Active legal license and in good standing with a recognized governing body.

• Over 7 years of professional in-house legal experience.

• More than 5 years of experience working with companies based in the USA and internationally.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong legal project management capabilities.

• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects effectively.

• Capacity to excel in a fast-paced environment.

• A passion for teaching, leadership, and continuous learning.

• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Apps (G Suite), and general cloud-based applications.

• Prior experience with CRM-based task management tools such as JIRA / Confluence is preferred.
