Senior Controller – Bookkeeper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Conduct a high volume of daily bank reconciliations across various bank accounts.

• Generate and deliver a daily sales report.

• Execute a daily close along with comprehensive monthly reconciliations.

• Process invoices for contractors and vendors.

• Review, process, and forward expenses from diverse sources.

• Oversee intercompany cost allocations among entities utilizing QuickBooks Online.

• Manage payments in foreign currencies across multiple banking and payment platforms.

• Ensure accurate, timely, and well-organized record-keeping.

• Comprehend underlying business transactions and identify any discrepancies.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to comprehend needs and proactively resolve issues.

• Recognize and implement process enhancements, automation, and optimizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume, multi-entity setting.

• Demonstrated hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is essential.

• Direct experience with intercompany transactions is required.

• Comfortable managing multiple bank accounts and foreign-currency transactions.

• Exceptional discipline, consistency, and attention to detail; adept at repetitive routine tasks.

• Strong reporting abilities and technological fluency; experienced in creating and maintaining reports.

• Familiarity or keen interest in AI tools for automating and optimizing accounting processes.

• Resourceful and problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.

• Excellent written and verbal English skills for effective communication with internal stakeholders.

• CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with AI tools in accounting or finance.

• Preferred: knowledge of automation/workflow tools such as Zapier, Make, or similar.

• Preferred: familiarity with Expensify, Gusto, or similar tools.

• Preferred: experience with US-based companies or clients.

• Preferred: background in startup or high-growth environments.
