Senior Controller – Bookkeeper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Execute a significant volume of daily bank reconciliations across various bank accounts.

• Generate and present a daily sales report.

• Conduct a daily close alongside comprehensive monthly reconciliations.

• Process invoices from contractors and vendors.

• Review, process, and forward expenses from diverse sources.

• Oversee intercompany cost allocations among entities tracked within QuickBooks Online.

• Manage payments in foreign currencies and across multiple banks and payment platforms.

• Keep precise, timely, and well-organized records.

• Comprehend underlying business transactions and identify any discrepancies.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and proactively address issues.

• Recognize and implement process enhancements, automation, and optimizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a high-volume, multi-entity setting.

• Proven hands-on expertise with QuickBooks Online (QBO) is essential.

• Direct experience with intercompany transactions.

• Proficiency in managing multiple bank accounts and foreign-currency payments.

• Exceptional discipline, consistency, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong reporting capabilities and technological fluency; adept at building and maintaining reports.

• Experience or a keen interest in AI tools for accounting workflow automation and enhancement.

• A resourceful, problem-solving mindset focused on efficiency and ongoing improvement.

• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, for interaction with internal stakeholders.

• Preferred: hands-on experience with AI tools in accounting or finance.

• Preferred: familiarity with automation/workflow tools such as Zapier or Make.

• Preferred: experience with tools like Expensify or Gusto.

• Preferred: background working with US-based companies or clients.

• Preferred: experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
