Senior Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional accounting support to clients

• Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of accounting practices

• Oversee accounting operations, encompassing payroll, accounts receivable/collections, expense management, taxes, and revenue recognition and reporting

• Manage client interactions and pinpoint opportunities to enhance clients’ financial performance

• Lead internal accounting initiatives and sustain partnerships with external partners and vendors

• Offer continuous financial analysis to company executives to aid in strategic business decisions

• Ensure adherence to financial and legal standards

• Collaborate with the Accounting Operations team on technical accounting issues

• Assess clients’ business strategies and prepare for future growth

• Optimize procedures and advance accounting and system technical expertise

• Expand financial planning and analysis capabilities by working closely with Finance Managers and members of the CFO team

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Over 10 years of experience in accounting

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP

• Capability to supervise and evaluate corporate accounting activities

• Proficient in complex financial modeling

• Thorough understanding of accounting compliance regulations and experience in implementing and managing accounting policies

• Highly skilled in Excel, including Pivot Tables, Data Tables, formulas, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF/THEN, and XIRR

• Detail-oriented with a focus on processes

• Willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies

• Enthusiastic about adhering to established practices while contributing to their improvement

• Experience working in a remote setting is advantageous

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
