Senior Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Reporting to the SVP Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and consolidation for various entities located in the US, Canada, UK, and India.

• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of consolidated financial results.

• Manage the full-cycle accounting processes for shared-service entities.

• Support the budgeting process at Embrace HQ and lead the implementation of financial systems for new acquisitions.

• Prepare consolidated financial statements on a monthly and quarterly basis across multiple entities and currencies.

• Supervise full-cycle accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, accruals, reconciliations, and monthly close activities.

• Manage management fee billings, intercompany recharges, and the allocation of shared expenses.

• Ensure compliance with GST/HST/PST filings for Canadian entities.

• Lead the implementation of systems and financial integration for new acquisitions.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA (or equivalent) designation is required.

• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including expertise in multi-entity consolidation and full-cycle accounting.

• Hands-on experience with multi-currency reporting, intercompany accounting, and transfer pricing.

• Proficiency in ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, along with strong Excel skills.

• Knowledge of IFRS; experience in the SaaS or technology sectors is an advantage.

• Public accounting experience (audit or assurance) is a plus, particularly in multi-entity engagements.
