Senior Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the accounting function from start to finish.

• Manage the chart of accounts effectively.

• Establish standards for the monthly closing process.

• Spearhead technical accounting initiatives.

• Provide reporting that supports informed decision-making.

• Oversee tax compliance responsibilities.

• Lead 409A valuations and ensure equity compliance.

• Develop controls and maintain audit readiness.

• Manage the operational aspects of finance.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–12 years of advancing experience in accounting.

• A minimum of 3 years in roles such as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Manager.

• CPA designation is highly preferred.

• Background in Big 4 auditing (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC preferred).

• Proficiency in ERP systems (Sage Intacct or NetSuite).

• Experience in designing charts of accounts.

• Strong understanding of technical accounting principles (ASC 606, ASC 842, ASC 718).

• Familiarity with tax compliance processes.

• Knowledge of 409A and equity accounting practices.

• Experience in the healthcare or health tech industry is preferred.

• Authentic fluency in AI technologies (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.).

• Proven ability to automate closing and reporting processes.
