Fractional Controller – Advisor Network

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Arootah collaborates with a curated network of senior operators to assist clients in the alternative investment sector, including hedge funds, private equity firms, and family offices.

• Advisors are engaged on a project-by-project basis when client requirements align with their specific expertise.

• Joining the network does not ensure placement; it grants access to opportunities as they become available.

• Exclusive engagements within the alternative investment industry with hedge funds, private equity firms, and family offices.

• Project-based assignments that accommodate existing commitments.

• Arootah manages client origination and engagement, allowing advisors to concentrate on delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• Holding a CPA designation or an advanced degree (such as an MBA) is advantageous.

• A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, particularly as a Controller for an Alternative Asset Firm or Family Office.

• At least 4 years of demonstrated experience in a financial or accounting role within an Alternative Asset Firm, Family Office, or Big 4 accounting firm.

• Extensive expertise in cash and working capital management and forecasting, along with strong technical accounting skills, GAAP accounting, and management reporting experience.

• Proficient technical skills, especially with Microsoft applications (Word and Excel), and a solid proficiency in accounting software or financial applications (e.g., QuickBooks).

• Comprehensive understanding of various financial instruments, investment types, vehicle structures, asset classes, tax regulations, and financial covenants.

• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, capable of prioritizing tasks, and possessing excellent management and supervisory skills.
