Senior Contracts Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the development, negotiation, awarding, and management of all contract types independently.

• Execute comprehensive acquisition functions from pre-award through post-award, culminating in contract termination or closeout.

• Assess procurement requests to verify compliance with established procedures and regulations, as well as the adequacy of technical specifications or purchase descriptions and supporting documents.

• Evaluate the appropriateness of set-asides (such as small business, small and disadvantaged business, and labor surplus) in line with relevant laws.

• Analyze justifications for other than full and open competition, provide recommendations for approval or disapproval, and create solicitation documents and other contractual materials (such as D&F’s, justifications, solicitation amendments, and supporting memoranda).

• Review bids or proposals for adherence to solicitations and assess contractor responsibility.

• Make determinations regarding the competitive range.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in Federal contracting.

• Proven track record in managing pre- and post-award acquisitions without assistance.

• Exceptional writing skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

• Familiarity with FAR and VAAR-based procurements.

• Strong communication abilities (i.e., capacity to articulate clearly and concisely regarding work-related matters), especially with Federal staff and Contracting personnel.

• Capability to collaborate within a team environment as well as manage individual projects.

• Proficient multi-tasking and reasoning skills to prioritize and delegate workload effectively.

• Completion of FAC-C or DAU acquisition courses.
