Senior Content Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Identify trending content across our network to enhance audience engagement

• Utilize newsroom production expertise to highlight high-potential stories

• Engage with digital leads regarding overlooked opportunities

• Edit and polish syndicated posts for clarity and precision

• Monitor and react to real-time breaking news events

• Oversee team and publication production processes

• Create expert-level headlines and metadata for SEO and social media interaction

• Collaborate with MNG and Tribune journalists on significant projects

• Source and manage third-party content providers

• Analyze data for actionable insights to improve newsroom performance

• Supervise a team of three full-time Content Strategists

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a high-pressure daily newsroom or online news outlet

• Strong familiarity with various social media platforms and Content Management Systems (CMS)

• Competency in Google Analytics and/or real-time analytics tools

• Solid background in news writing and copy editing, adhering to AP style guidelines and ethics

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, marketing, or a related field
