This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• The Content Marketing Manager serves as a creative storyteller and digital content strategist, tasked with crafting impactful, mission-oriented content that supports the objectives, brand, advocacy, and fundraising goals of Planned Parenthood of Greater New York.
• This position is responsible for developing and implementing engaging content across various digital platforms, including social media, video, email, and web, to engage a range of stakeholders.
• In collaboration with colleagues throughout the organization, the Content Marketing Manager translates complex issues, timely news, and community narratives into meaningful digital experiences.
• Oversees a steady flow of high-quality content, which encompasses social media updates, short-form videos, graphics, blog entries, email content, and storytelling initiatives.
• Records, edits, and publishes timely video materials, and is comfortable with on-camera appearances.
• Keeps track of social media discussions and emerging best practices to produce relevant and timely content.
• Engages and nurtures online communities through active social listening and audience interaction.
• Develops written and visual content for email marketing campaigns that focus on audience-centered storytelling.
• Bachelor's degree in a marketing-related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-4 years of experience in social media marketing and digital content management, encompassing social media, Google Analytics, website management, and other web development tools.
• Strong commitment to the mission, purpose, and values of PPGNY.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent writing and editing capabilities, including the skill to precisely target messaging, produce materials swiftly, and respond to current events effectively.
• Must be a proactive self-starter who can work independently with a certain degree of autonomy.
• High levels of enthusiasm, energy, initiative, and motivation are essential.
• Ability to simplify complex issues and conduct research for messaging tailored to multiple audiences.
• Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple, simultaneous projects with tight deadlines.
