Senior Consulting Engineer – Physical Security, Pipelining

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct client consultations: plan, design, implement, and support Physical Security Systems.

• Develop and execute the technical architecture and physical design of the network: evaluate existing Physical Security Systems and propose solutions.

• Establish, configure, and test Physical Security Systems that encompass video surveillance, access control, sensors, air quality control, and integrations with third-party applications.

• Diagnose, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions for intricate hardware/software issues.

• Support Account Managers during the sales cycle by informing customers about emerging technologies in the Physical Security domain.

• Recognize and communicate potential cross-selling opportunities to the sales team.

• Assist in project management utilizing CDW's project management methodology.

• Adhere to life-cycle-oriented processes and procedures.

• Guarantee a stable performance environment for enterprise computer applications.

• Engage in various IT projects aimed at the continuous enhancement and upgrading of converged network solutions.

• Regularly interact with both technical and business personnel from customer organizations, including project sponsors and stakeholders in more complex engagements.

• Act as a technical point of contact during customer engagements.

• Develop and implement test plans to fulfill project requirements for assigned components.

• Manage time and expenses to meet or exceed expectations outlined in the Statement of Work.

• Deliver high-quality content using the appropriate document templates.

• Ensure that solutions are implemented as designed to meet customer satisfaction and approval.

• Collaborate with Professional Services Managers, Sellers, Project Managers, Partners, and customers to align expectations and timelines, ensuring commitments are fulfilled.

• Conduct and lead design workshops for complex designs to achieve customer, partner, business, and technical objectives.

• Proactively create plans and activities to mitigate potential issues.

• Educate the customer about the solution as appropriate throughout the project's life cycle or service period.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in delivering complex technical solutions, including planning, development, implementation, and support OR 9+ years of experience in delivering such solutions.

• Practical experience with Genetec or Verkada Systems Engineering.

• Willingness to work weekends and/or off-hours as needed to accommodate clients' requirements.

• Availability to travel between 25%-50%.

• Proficient in effectively communicating with clients.

• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds of equipment.

• Strong attention to detail regarding inventory and logistics.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in infrastructure/network environments, with some background in network engineering (hardware and software), network security practices, and designing, planning, and implementing LANs and WANs using contemporary technology.

• Two years of consulting experience is an advantage.

• Experience in Milestone Systems Engineering is a plus.

• A minimum of one year in programming or analytical roles is beneficial.

• Axis Certified Professional Certification is advantageous.

• Genetec Security Center Omnicast and Synergis Certificates are beneficial.

• Milestone Certified Integration Technician Certificate is a plus.

• Meraki MV experience is advantageous.

• Verkada experience is a plus.

• Experience in Video Surveillance System Implementation is advantageous.

• Experience in Access Control System Implementation is beneficial.

• Experience in Environmental Sensor Implementation is advantageous.

• Experience in IoT Device Implementation is a plus.
