Senior Consulting Engineer – Physical Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct consultations with clients to plan, design, implement, and support Physical Security Systems.

• Create and execute technical architecture and physical network designs.

• Evaluate current Physical Security Systems and suggest improvements.

• Install, configure, and test video surveillance systems, access control, sensors, air quality control, and third-party integrations.

• Diagnose, maintain, upgrade, and resolve intricate hardware/software issues.

• Support Account Managers in sales by informing customers about Physical Security technologies.

• Identify and relay cross-selling opportunities to the sales team.

• Aid in project management utilizing CDW's methodologies and lifecycle processes.

• Guarantee stable performance environments for enterprise applications.

• Engage in IT projects that enhance and upgrade converged network solutions.

• Collaborate with customers' technical and business personnel, including project sponsors and stakeholders.

• Act as a technical point of contact during customer engagements.

• Develop and implement test plans.

• Manage time and expenses in accordance with Statements of Work.

• Deliver high-quality content using designated templates.

• Ensure solutions are executed as designed and approved by clients.

• Manage expectations and timelines with Professional Services Managers, Sellers, Project Managers, Partners, and clients.

• Facilitate or lead design workshops for intricate designs.

• Proactively devise plans to prevent issues.

• Educate clients on solutions throughout the project or service lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in delivering complex technical solutions, including planning, development, implementation, and support, OR 9+ years of relevant experience.

• Practical experience with Genetec or Verkada Systems Engineering.

• Willingness to work on weekends and/or during off-hours as needed to meet client requirements.

• Ability to travel 25%-50% of the time.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients.

• Physically capable of lifting equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.

• Detail-oriented in inventory and logistics management.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in infrastructure/network environments.

• Familiarity with network engineering, network security practices, and the design, planning, and implementation of LANs and WANs.

• 2 years of consulting experience is preferred.

• Experience with Milestone Systems Engineering is a plus.

• Minimum of one year of experience in programming or analytical tasks is advantageous.

• Axis Certified Professional Certification is a plus.

• Genetec Security Center Omnicast and Synergis Certificates are advantageous.

• Milestone Certified Integration Technician Certificate is beneficial.

• Experience with Meraki MV is a plus.

• Familiarity with Verkada is a plus.

• Experience in Video Surveillance System Implementation is advantageous.

• Experience in Access Control System Implementation is beneficial.

• Experience in Environmental Sensor Implementation is a plus.

• Experience in IoT Device Implementation is a plus.
