Senior Staff Cloud Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of cloud, application, and zero trust security architecture, which includes blueprints, guardrails, and secure design patterns tailored for cloud-native microservices on AWS.

• Safeguard AI and machine learning systems, including features powered by large language models (LLM), by performing threat modeling specific to AI risks and implementing effective mitigations.

• Develop and enhance detection engineering and monitoring pipelines throughout cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments.

• Lead incident response efforts, create automated playbooks, carry out root-cause analyses, and facilitate tabletop exercises.

• Ensure security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by implementing CI/CD automation, container security measures, vulnerability management, design reviews, and internal testing procedures.

• Conduct threat modeling and architecture assessments on complex distributed systems and data flows.

• Assist the customer security team by clearly communicating security controls to customers during in-depth technical discussions.

• Collaborate with senior leaders, security engineers, and the wider engineering team.

• Protect AI-driven solutions throughout the entire product lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in cloud security, application security, and security architecture within modern distributed environments.

• Proven experience in building detection engineering and SIEM/SOAR pipelines.

• Proficiency in analyzing logs at scale using AI technologies.

• Experience in leading real incident response initiatives and conducting threat hunting.

• Practical experience in securing, monitoring, and investigating production Kubernetes and containerized environments.

• Hands-on experience in securing and testing contemporary application architectures, including microservices, APIs, and containers in the cloud.

• Extensive experience with AWS.

• Knowledge of AI threats and mitigation strategies, such as prompt injection, data leakage, model and supply chain risks, and misuse of AI agents and integrations.

• Capability to transition from architecture diagrams to code, configuration, and logs.

• Exceptional communication skills for explaining security concepts to customer security teams, executives, and engineers.

• Demonstrated success in a high-growth startup environment, showcasing adaptability, autonomy, and rapid execution.

• Background in software or infrastructure engineering with experience in building production systems.

• Experience in integrating security tools like GHAS and SAST/DAST into CI/CD platforms such as Codefresh, ArgoCD, or GitLab CI.

• Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, particularly with Terraform.

• Comprehensive end-to-end vulnerability management experience across applications and cloud infrastructure.

• Proficiency in encryption and secrets management using HashiCorp Vault and AWS KMS.

• Experience in designing and documenting security solution architectures.

• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITRE ATLAS, or NIST AI RMF.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
