Senior Consultant – Valuation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee and execute business valuation projects aimed at various purposes, including financial reporting (ASC 805/ASC 350), gift and estate tax, 409A/ASC 718, management planning, litigation support, and M&A.

• Engage in all phases of valuation projects, from the preparation of initial proposals to the completion of the project.

• Create and employ financial models, such as the Discounted Cash Flow, Option Pricing Method, and Black Scholes model, to derive value estimates.

• Gain exposure to intricate securities, including earnouts, convertible debt, and profit interests.

• Identify, evaluate, and analyze comparable public and private companies and transactions to derive valuation multiples.

• Draft narrative reports to support valuation analyses.

• Mentor and supervise analysts while reviewing their work to maintain quality control.

• Conduct research and analyze market trends and conditions to formulate valuation opinions.

• Execute SAS 73 reviews of valuations prepared by other valuation firms.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2 – 4 years of progressively responsible valuation experience in a Big 4 accounting firm.

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, accounting, finance, statistics, mathematics, or engineering.

• Previous experience in effectively addressing external review inquiries (such as from auditors or the IRS) is advantageous.

• Prior experience conducting SAS 73 audit reviews.

• Relevant valuation designations such as ASA, CPA, CEIV, CVFI, ABV, or CVA, or progress toward obtaining one or more of these certifications.

• Must be willing to occasionally work some hours aligned with US time zones.
