
Senior Consultant – Procurement Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in a diverse array of Procurement Transformation initiatives, including Source-to-Pay technology strategy and selection, enhancement of purchasing processes, operational performance improvement, change management, as well as program and project management, AI, and data analytics.
• Execute strategic sourcing events for clients' spending categories by analyzing expenditures, crafting strategies, conducting RFPs, assessing bid responses, developing business cases, and securing stakeholder alignment to our proposed results.
• Aid organizations in pinpointing and evaluating business challenges to enhance procurement operations and their integration with finance and accounting.
• Provide insights and best practices related to essential business processes throughout the Source-to-Pay lifecycle.
• Support clients in assessing their Procurement operations and identifying transformative change initiatives through thorough procurement analysis, which includes supplier spending, vendor master data, identification of category savings, buy-pay channels, and process & compliance management.
• Conduct analyses of third-party spending and reviews against both internal and external data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities, which are then translated into category strategies aimed at cost savings.
• Lead workstreams that contribute to maturity assessments concerning procurement capabilities, processes, and overall operations.
• Incorporate procurement opportunities into prioritization frameworks and transformation roadmaps.
• Create data-driven business cases for transformational change programs.
• Identify and escalate project issues, risks, or conflicts to leadership, proactively proposing solutions to ensure seamless project completion.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional services consulting experience is required; experience with a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm is preferred. Additional industry experience in a strategic sourcing or procurement role is a significant advantage.
• Familiarity with the following concepts: Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, Contract Management, Procure-to-Pay Process, Item Cost Analysis, Supply Chain Risk Management, Basic Financial Modeling, Accounts Payable, Process Optimization, Change Management, Performance Improvement, and Project Management.
• Ability and confidence to lead moderately complex client working sessions and presentations effectively.
• Foundational skills in client relationship management with a strong enthusiasm for participating in the sales process.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Suite, with prior experience using one or more of the following tools: Tableau, Lucid Software, and/or Power BI preferred.
• Familiarity with AI: Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to boost productivity and innovation.
• A mindset geared towards continuous learning: Willingness to learn and apply emerging technologies, including AI and automation, in accordance with firm policies and client standards.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; supply chain or procurement designations or external certifications are preferred.
• Availability to travel up to 40% as needed upon client request.
• Contribute to internal initiatives, thought leadership, or other activities aimed at building the practice.
