Senior Consultant – Openshift Virtualization

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Facilitate workshops to evaluate legacy environments (VMware/Hyper-V) and design "future-state" OpenShift architectures.

• Create comprehensive migration strategies utilizing the Migration Toolkit for Virtualization (MTV).

• Deliver technical roadmaps and business-value presentations to IT leadership.

• Construct and secure OpenShift clusters in bare-metal or hybrid-cloud settings.

• Set up advanced networking (SR-IOV, OVN-K, Multus) and software-defined storage (OpenShift Data Foundation/Ceph).

• Develop automated pipelines using Ansible and ArgoCD to oversee "Infrastructure as Code" (IaC) for both containers and VMs.

• Offer "over-the-shoulder" mentoring to client teams regarding Day-2 operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth expertise in KubeVirt (OpenShift Virtualization) and legacy hypervisors (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, or RHV).

• Extensive experience with Bare Metal deployments and hardware provisioning (Metal3, Ironic).

• Advanced knowledge of L2/L3 networking, Load Balancing, and CNI (OVN-Kubernetes, Calico).

• Familiarity with distributed storage (Ceph/ODF), NVMe performance optimization, and backup solutions (OADP/Velero).

• High level of proficiency in Ansible (creating Playbooks/Roles) and Terraform.

• Strong skills in RHEL administration and Kubernetes security (RBAC, Network Policies, SELinux).
