Senior Consultant – Omnissa Horizon, VDI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• As a skilled Consultant (m/f/d), you will assist our clients in executing contemporary digital workplace strategies utilizing Omnissa Horizon.

• You will oversee projects comprehensively, from requirements analysis and architectural design to the implementation and enhancement of existing environments.

• Bring your expertise to challenging client engagements.

• Responsible for the planning, design, and execution of Omnissa Horizon environments (on-premises, hybrid, and cloud).

• Provide guidance and support for the migration of current VDI platforms to Omnissa Horizon.

• Facilitate workshops, technical assessments, and proofs-of-concept.

• Integrate Horizon with associated technologies such as vSphere, NSX, App Volumes, and DEM.

• Analyze and enhance existing environments concerning performance, scalability, and security.

• Prepare architectural concepts, technical documentation, and operational manuals.

• Collaborate closely with project managers, sales teams, and our clients’ IT departments.

• Deliver technical support and troubleshooting as part of client projects and operational assistance.

• Assume subproject leadership and provide technical mentorship, as well as foster the development of Junior Consultants (senior-level).


⛳️ Requirements

• Professional experience, degree, or training in the IT field.

• Several years of experience with VMware Horizon / Omnissa Horizon (VDI, Published Applications, and Blast protocol).

• Solid understanding of VMware vSphere / vCenter along with Windows Server and client operating systems.

• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), DNS, and PKI in VDI environments.

• Good comprehension of networking concepts, particularly Unified Access Gateway (UAG), load balancing, and firewall rules.

• Strong customer and consulting focus, along with experience in designing and implementing technical solutions.

• Analytical mindset, effective communication skills, and a quick ability to learn new topics.

• Fluent in German (at least C1) and proficient in English (at least B2).

• Willingness to travel occasionally for client engagements.
