Senior Cloud Consultant – Openshift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Implement automated, containerized solutions for cloud application platforms, emphasizing infrastructure aspects such as networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, as well as high availability and system resilience.

• Act as a subject matter expert on-site, addressing various technical, developmental, or strategic IT requirements.

• Acquire new technologies and apply these concepts to meet customer needs effectively.

• Adjust to evolving customer requirements seamlessly.

• Oversee problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of intricate open-source solutions.

• Address incidents, escalations, and exceptions with a professional demeanor.

• Provide quality results both on-site and post-engagement that adhere to project timelines and scopes, including maintaining project journals, status reports, and other standard documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a consulting capacity.

• Exceptional customer-facing abilities; skilled in presenting to clients and leading customer interactions.

• Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies at a delivery level.

• Experience in implementing container technologies within an enterprise context and handling enterprise-wide deployments.

• Familiarity with one or more of Red Hat’s infrastructure solutions, such as Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), or Ansible Automation Platform.

• Background in onboarding applications and application teams onto cloud or container platforms, incorporating DevOps, continuous delivery (CD), and application lifecycle management.

• Insight into the open-source community.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning capabilities.

• Willingness to travel throughout the region.

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
