This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Apply rigorous problem-solving techniques to assist clients in addressing their most challenging operational issues related to scaling their businesses and managing back-office functions.
• Oversee intricate operational projects, frequently collaborating with multiple junior team members to achieve outstanding results.
• Maintain regular communication with clients to offer recommendations, anticipate their needs, and manage expectations effectively.
• Leverage operational best practices alongside a comprehensive understanding of back-office systems to assist clients in implementing payroll workflows, accounts payable/accounts receivable processes, equity administration, and compliance frameworks.
• Stay informed on the latest trends and insights into operational tools and best practices to serve as a strategic partner in their business growth.
• Join the world's leading tech-enabled firm's operational services, acting as a trusted ally to clients in critical operational decisions.
• Cultivate long-lasting client relationships and drive superior operational results based on unique business insights.
• Collaborate with clients to facilitate measurable and sustainable enhancements in operational and business key performance indicators.
• Ensure operational projects remain on schedule through continuous monitoring, escalation management, and proactive problem-solving.
• Assist in fulfilling compliance requirements, investor discussions, and board meetings by ensuring operational excellence and providing actionable insights.
• Monitor and assess key Financial Operations business initiatives, including new experiments, offerings, and process enhancements.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify growth opportunities or methods to further scale the Financial Operations offering.
• Aid in new product development, strategy formulation, and exploration of new partnerships to broaden the Financial Operations service line.
• Mentor and support junior team members, guiding them through complex operational engagements and developing their skills.
• 4-6+ years of pertinent work experience in back-office operations, startup operations, and/or operational finance within a high-growth company.
• Technical proficiency in payroll, benefits administration, accounts payable/accounts receivable, equity administration, or compliance is advantageous.
• Familiarity with technology or other sectors, or experience leading internal functions in startups or small/medium-sized enterprises.
• Proven experience in managing complex operational engagements alongside junior team members, guiding them to achieve high-quality results.
• Advanced Excel skills, with the capability to oversee operational workflows comprehensively while ensuring their quality, timeliness, and accuracy (experience with Notion is a plus).
• Highly analytical, with the ability to consume, process, and prioritize extensive amounts of unstructured information.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently to deliver precise, high-quality outputs with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of distilling information into structured frameworks and actionable plans.
• Uphold a high level of integrity in all work activities.
• Highly entrepreneurial, proactive, and able to excel in ambiguous and fast-paced environments.
• Proven capability to build strong collaborative working relationships with immediate team members, junior colleagues, cross-functional partners, and function leads.
• This position is exclusively available for remote employment within the United States in the following states: CA, GA, NY, NC, TN, TX, and WA.
