Senior Consultant – EPM Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee complete Financial Consolidation and Group Reporting implementations on the Jedox EPM platform, from the analysis of requirements to go-live and post-close stabilization.

• Design, configure, and validate consolidation solutions that encompass: Scope of Consolidation Ownership structures, capital consolidation, and minority interests, Intercompany reconciliation and eliminations, Foreign currency translation and cumulative translation adjustment (CTA), Journals and manual adjustments, Audit trails, controls, as well as statutory and management reporting.

• Review and validate essential project deliverables such as data models, consolidation rules, mappings, and training materials.

• Provide direct support during critical project phases, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT), go-live, and the initial close cycle.

• Manage reconciliation activities, variance analysis, and issue resolution during stabilization phases to ensure a seamless and reliable close.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to CFOs, Group Accounting, and Finance teams, advising clients on best practices in financial closing and consolidation.

• Transform IFRS and local GAAP (e.g. HGB) requirements into scalable, auditable Jedox consolidation and reporting solutions.

• Develop robust client relationships grounded in trust, credibility, and extensive subject-matter expertise in consolidation and group reporting.

• Perform structured root-cause analyses and implement sustainable solutions aimed at enhancing data quality, performance, and process resilience.

• Maintain proactive and clear communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding risks, issues, and the progress of resolutions.

• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to validate product enhancements, support presales and go-to-market activities, including solution scoping, proposals, Proofs of Concept (PoCs), and product demonstrations, and assist partners in building and expanding their expertise in Jedox Consolidation Solutions. Share insights and contribute to thought leadership on financial consolidation and EPM trends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Consolidation consulting and/or corporate group accounting.

• Demonstrated experience in delivering Financial Consolidation and Group Reporting.

• Strong understanding of IFRS and/or local GAAP along with the financial close cycle.

• In-depth knowledge of consolidation topics, including intercompany eliminations, currency translation (CTA), equity and minority interests, journals, and auditability.

• Practical experience with EPM / CPM / consolidation systems and multi-dimensional data models.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on senior-level interactions.

• Proficiency in German, with English skills at least at a conversational level.
