Senior Consultant, DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• As a Senior DevOps Consultant, you will play a pivotal technical role in delivering intricate projects.

• You will assume full responsibility for your deliverables, ensuring they adhere to high standards of quality, security, and performance.

• You will work closely with colleagues and client teams to achieve project objectives.

• You will apply contemporary DevOps methodologies to design, build, and enhance solutions that enable clients to maximize their cloud platform usage.

• You will be actively engaged throughout the entire project lifecycle — from refining requirements and influencing solutions to delivering operational systems and conveying outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• You will offer guidance and informal mentoring to junior engineers, assisting in elevating the team's capabilities.

• You will participate in pre-sales activities, such as analyzing technical requirements, collaborating with our bid team, and aiding in the development of compelling proposals.

• You will engage with Ensono Digital’s internal competencies — sharing knowledge, refining our delivery methodologies, and enhancing your own expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• CI/CD & Automation expertise.

• Experience in designing and building advanced CI/CD pipelines from the ground up using two or more platforms, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.

• Ability to create reusable pipeline templates (e.g., Azure DevOps templates, GitHub Actions reusable workflows, and infrastructure modules like Terraform).

• Proficiency in integrating automated quality checks, testing, and security scanning into pipelines.

• Hands-on commercial experience with at least one of the major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools like Terraform or cloud-native tooling (ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation).

• Skills in designing, deploying, and managing Kubernetes clusters for production workloads at scale.

• Competency in configuring application routing using CDN, load balancers, and ingress controllers for both single and multi-region architectures.

• Knowledge of hub-and-spoke network architectures and their application in cloud environments.

• Experience working with containerized applications hosted locally and on cloud-native PaaS services, such as Azure Container Apps or AWS ECS Fargate.

• Involvement in supporting security architecture and contributing to the establishment of naming conventions, patterns, and practices.

• Ability to identify and implement build pipelines to validate non-functional requirements, such as performance, security, and compliance.

• Proficient in writing and maintaining tests for infrastructure code within an established framework.

• Capable of analyzing security scan results, particularly Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) reports.

• Experience debugging and troubleshooting applications in one or more programming languages, such as Java, C#, or Node.js.

• Skill in effectively resolving technical challenges on complex projects and delivering high-quality outcomes within your scope of work.

• Strong communication abilities, including presenting technical solutions, collaborating within cross-functional teams, and engaging with stakeholders.

• Providing informal guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers within the team.

• Awareness of how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can expedite project tasks such as documentation, refactoring, testing, and debugging.

• Experience with AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, is a plus.
