Senior Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Oversee intricate Red Hat Consulting projects, managing the complete project lifecycle from design and architecture to successful execution.

• Act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) at client locations, addressing strategic IT requirements and complex technical challenges.

• Create and implement advanced OpenShift solutions that seamlessly integrate with a customer's existing infrastructure, including networking, storage, security, and identity management.

• Mentor and support customer teams on best practices for containerization, application deployment, and OpenShift administration.

• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows to automate application delivery, ensuring a consistent and repeatable deployment process.

• Generate high-quality technical documentation, including architecture designs, operational runbooks, and project reports for both technical and executive stakeholders.

• Provide technical leadership and hands-on assistance for OpenShift upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.

• Proactively identify and address project risks, keeping stakeholders updated on progress and potential issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience as a senior consultant or architect, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native and container technologies.

• In-depth, hands-on knowledge of the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), including installation, configuration, and day-2 operations.

• Advanced understanding of Kubernetes and fundamental concepts such as pods, services, deployments, and operators.

• Expertise in designing and implementing solutions that prioritize high availability, scalability, and security.

• Experience with DevOps and GitOps practices and associated tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton).

• Strong grasp of cloud infrastructure concepts, including networking, storage, and virtualization.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible).

• Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration is highly preferred, with a commitment to pursuing other relevant certifications.

• Must be an Australian citizen.

• Australian government security clearance at NV2 or above.
