Senior Consultant – Accounting Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Financial Reporting, which encompasses the design of reporting processes, assistance with restatement, and traditional 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings.

• Operational Accounting, focusing on the continuous improvement and optimization of finance and accounting functions.

• Implementation of both new and existing accounting standards.

• Effectively communicate with clients to deliver project findings, updates, and recommendations.

• Collaborate with CrossCountry and client team members to address business issues and explore potential solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with companies in one or more of the following areas: financial reporting, operational accounting, the implementation of new accounting policies, or complex transactions.

• Previous experience in professional services, such as public accounting, advisory firms, or management consulting firms.

• A strong operational and technical accounting background, including a proactive approach to researching complex technical accounting issues.

• Demonstrated professionalism and discretion when interacting with executives and clients.

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, including U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and/or IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).

• A Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA certification is preferred.

• Experience in supporting transactions related to mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs, or IPOs is preferred but not mandatory.
