Senior Compiler Engineer – AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Become a part of a team that is pioneering innovative solutions in compilers and developer tools utilizing applied machine learning and AI.

• Work alongside elite engineers to develop next-generation compiler features that support large-scale, high-impact products.

• Create and execute comprehensive compiler optimization workflows, encompassing feature engineering, model development, compiler integration, and production deployment.

• Design and incorporate learning-based decision systems into compiler stages, code generation processes, and optimization workflows.

• Establish robust connections between LLM systems and compiler infrastructure to enhance optimization recommendations, decision-making support, and workflow automation.

• Collaborate with compiler, architecture, and performance teams to assess the impact on representative workloads and benchmark suites.

• Spearhead experimentation, evaluation, and deployment while adhering to high standards for reliability, scalability, and performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience), with a concentration on machine learning and compiler/developer tools.

• Over 8 years of experience in software engineering and AI/ML, ideally in tools or systems development.

• In-depth knowledge of compilers, code generation, and GPU architecture.

• Proven expertise in Python and C/C++ programming languages.

• Strong mathematical and scientific background pertinent to AI/ML and compiler technologies.

• Practical experience with LLVM/MLIR-based compiler development, including optimization passes, code generation, or frontend integration.

• Experience in building or integrating LLM-based systems, agents, or developer tools within production settings.
