This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as an internal consultant to help understand the competitive landscape of annuities.
• Design and implement ongoing mixed-method research initiatives regarding competitors’ products, rates, service capabilities, sales processes and strategies, technology partnerships, and operational integration capabilities.
• Assist in annuity competitive intelligence programs and projects from planning and research to packaging and sharing insights and conclusions.
• Continuously analyze competitor products and capabilities utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
• Create and enhance product battlecards and side-by-side comparisons for competitive sales analysis, intranet applications, and training purposes.
• Develop reports, presentations, and data dashboards to convey research findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Conduct Win-Loss evaluations and document the findings.
• Perform ad-hoc research on competitors’ products, capabilities, and associated market information.
• Collaborate with the Market Research Team on mutual projects and information sharing.
• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• A minimum of 5 years of overall industry experience at an annuity carrier, broker-dealer, bank, BD, or BGA in product development, sales, marketing, account management, due diligence, market research, IT, or operations.
• Preferred experience at both an annuity carrier and broker-dealer, or significant interaction with the other.
• Strong familiarity with web-based client- and advisor-facing policy management or advising tools.
• Working technical knowledge of various annuity product types and features.
• Understanding of selling and servicing annuities and their integration within retirement planning.
• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Relevant advanced degrees, executive education, industry certifications, or licenses are preferred.
• Outstanding written communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence others.
• Experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment involving multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with analytical methods in both business and academic settings.
• Awareness of AI tools, their optimal applications, and limitations.
• Moderate skills in analytic tools.
• Proficiency in Excel is required.
• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is preferred.
