This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Act as the main contact for stakeholder communications, coordination, and status updates.
• Assist with ITSO cybersecurity communications, stakeholder coordination, and project management tasks.
• Facilitate Scrum meetings, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Manage and oversee Kanban/Scrum board activities, such as task tracking, backlog updates, workflow management, and action item follow-up.
• Create clear communications tailored for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Draft, revise, and organize cybersecurity bulletins, presentations, newsletters, announcements, meeting materials, and high-level executive content.
• Convert cybersecurity, risk, policy, compliance, and technical details into clear customer-facing communications.
• Collaborate with ITSO leadership, cybersecurity Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), project teams, and Agency Operational (AO) stakeholders.
• Aid in planning, tracking, and reporting for cybersecurity initiatives, awareness campaigns, governance activities, and regular customer deliverables.
• Keep records of schedules, action items, risks, issues, decisions, meeting notes, and status updates.
• Prepare briefing materials, status reports, dashboards, communication plans, and customer review packages.
• Manage peer reviews, quality assurance reviews, and final checks of deliverables before submission to customers.
• Assist in documentation management, quality control, process enhancements, and knowledge transfer.
• Lead meetings, capture outcomes, track follow-up actions, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
• Thrive in a dynamic federal consulting environment with various stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Over 7 years of experience in communications, project management, program support, technical writing, or federal consulting support.
• More than 5 years of experience in supporting cybersecurity, IT, risk management, governance, compliance, or security awareness activities.
• Proven experience as a primary contact for customer, stakeholder, or team communications.
• Proven experience in facilitating Scrum meetings, project meetings, working sessions, or recurring status meetings.
• Experience in managing Kanban, Scrum, or Agile task boards to track work, priorities, status, and deliverables.
• Experience in crafting communications for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in coordinating with cybersecurity SMEs, program managers, customer leadership, and cross-functional teams.
• Experience in supporting project schedules, status reporting, meeting facilitation, action item tracking, risks, issues, and deliverables.
• Experience in supporting peer reviews, quality assurance, document reviews, or deliverable quality control.
• Strong skills in writing, editing, briefing, and quality control.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder expectations independently.
• PMP certification.
• CompTIA Security+ or a similar foundational cybersecurity certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Business, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Additional relevant experience may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
