This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the complete campaign delivery process through email and push notifications utilizing Salesforce Marketing Cloud, which includes Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, and Email Studio.
• Set up and confirm custom journey activities and API integrations for optimal performance, failure management, and adherence to system thresholds.
• Develop and maintain AMPscript and SQL for personalized content, segmentation, validation, and troubleshooting purposes.
• Create safeguards to prevent campaigns from being sent when necessary data is absent or incorrect.
• Design dynamic, reusable templates based on Figma designs and create them from scratch.
• Generate multi-brand and multi-market content that includes currency formatting, dark-mode compatibility, and device coverage for over 100 locales.
• Construct audiences and segments within Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud, involving activations, automations, suppression and exclusion logic, as well as test and holdout groups.
• Perform technical quality assurance and user acceptance testing, focusing on rendering, device compatibility, links, tracking, dynamic logic, data joins, and journey behaviors.
• Assess and review the code and quality assurance efforts of teammates.
• Oversee campaign execution through workback schedules, localization testing, Go/No-Go decisions, and checks on launch day delivery.
• Keep comprehensive and auditable campaign documentation in Jira and Confluence.
• Observe live journeys, troubleshoot issues, and facilitate root cause analysis.
• Manage issues until resolution and verify corrective actions are taken.
• Review processes and suggest improvements.
• Assist in piloting automation and validation tools to minimize manual production tasks.
• Minimum of five years of practical experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development within a production environment adhering to strict quality assurance standards.
• Proficient in AMPscript, including writing, debugging, and refactoring code.
• Strong SQL capabilities with the ability to validate campaign accuracy using data queries.
• Extensive knowledge of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud data model, which encompasses Data Extensions, Shared Data Extensions, Send Logs, Data Views, Contact Builder, triggered sends, and API sends.
• Experience in managing high-volume campaigns with sends reaching millions.
• Understanding of throughput limits, thresholds, and operational requirements for high-volume sends.
• Strong skills in HTML and CSS for email design.
• Familiarity with dynamic and enhanced dynamic content, as well as app push notifications.
• Capability to work independently, find solutions, recognize when escalation is needed, and handle challenging stakeholder discussions regarding scope or timelines.
• Keen attention to detail with the ability to reconcile counts and validate campaign variants under tight deadlines.
• Experience working in an agile delivery setting using Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to provide precise estimates, maintain clear project status, and identify risks proactively.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, marketing, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
