This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Establishing and nurturing client relationships: You will serve as the primary liaison for your clients, acting as their trusted advisor in business matters. In addition to providing outstanding legal services, you will proactively seek ways to add value and assist in the growth of their businesses.
• Providing counsel across various industries and practice areas: Your clientele will include sectors such as technology, healthcare, SaaS, fintech, healthtech, NDIS, and other innovative and emerging fields. You will draft, review, and negotiate commercial and IT contracts, offer advice on intellectual property, licensing, and partnership agreements, and provide insights on regulatory compliance, privacy law, and consumer law issues.
• Cultivating your team: Collaborating with your Practice Leader, you will manage, mentor, and train junior lawyers and graduates, aiding in the development of their technical expertise and business acumen. This presents a unique chance to develop management skills early in your career.
• Contributing to the growth of the firm: Share your knowledge through client articles, webinars, and internal training sessions. Help position LegalVision as the preferred firm for innovative Australian enterprises.
• Strong background in commercial contracts: A minimum of 4 years PQE in private practice or in-house, with proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements. Experience in technology, healthcare, startups, or emerging industries is highly regarded.
• Business insight: You go beyond legal concerns to grasp what clients aim to achieve. You offer practical, business-oriented advice that facilitates client progress.
• Technical versatility: You are adept at advising on commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, privacy, and consumer law. You can manage uncertainty and quickly grasp new areas.
• Leadership potential: You are prepared to oversee junior lawyers, maintain client relationships, and handle complex matters. You are confident in making decisions and providing clear guidance.
