Senior Commercial Financial Services Litigation Attorney – Financial Institutions, Loan Servicing, Secured Creditor Remedies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct litigation teams in intricate commercial cases within federal and state courts throughout the United States.

• Advocate for banks, master servicers, special servicers, CMBS trusts, insurance companies, and various lenders.

• Manage litigation and loan servicing issues related to commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS).

• Supervise contested bankruptcy cases, UCC sales, mezzanine loan enforcement, and replevin lawsuits.

• Safeguard the interests of lenders in loans backed by hotels, retail spaces, office and industrial properties, multifamily housing, healthcare assets, ground leases, and pledged personal property interests.

• Defend financial institutions in lender liability lawsuits, including cases involving breach of contract and fraud allegations.

• Address complex business conflicts related to contracts, franchise agreements, real estate issues, and shareholder disputes.

• Represent clients in arbitration sessions, including those conducted by the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a recognized law school.

• Active bar admission in the state of the office location (or the ability to secure it promptly).

• At least 8+ years of experience in complex commercial litigation.

• Extensive experience representing financial institutions, servicers, or lenders.

• Strong foundation in commercial real estate litigation and secured creditor remedies.

• Proven experience managing contested cases in both federal and state courts.

• Capability to independently manage cases and lead litigation teams.

• Exceptional written and oral advocacy abilities.

• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and client management skills.
