
Senior Commercial Counsel – EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Become a key member of the commercial legal team tasked with supporting the go-to-market team by reviewing and negotiating customer contracts for the company. Your main focus will be on the EMEA sales team, with potential to assist APAC as the commercial legal function expands.
• Foster strong relationships with the EMEA sales team and serve as a solutions-oriented business partner by providing practical and sound legal guidance.
• Manage intricate cross-border transactions with sophisticated counterparties across various jurisdictions.
• Keep track of and advise on pertinent regulatory, compliance, or legal developments that may affect the business in the EMEA region, collaborating with the broader Legal team and cross-functional stakeholders as necessary.
• Deliver training and enablement to internal stakeholders regarding legal matters and contract processes.
• Assist in maintaining and updating our legal agreements, policies, and templates; create and enhance scalable workflows to facilitate rapid revenue growth and stability for the company.
• Juris Doctor degree and active membership in good standing in the UK; international legal experience is a plus.
• At least 7 years of experience working in both a law firm and in-house within a high-growth technology company.
• Demonstrated experience in drafting, negotiating, closing, and advising on complex commercial software and SaaS agreements with enterprise clients, partners, and resellers across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong comprehension of commercial legal issues related to SaaS and software licensing (e.g., data privacy, security, intellectual property, open-source, revenue recognition, and tax), professional services, and other go-to-market initiatives (like partner/reseller programs).
• Excellent judgment, a strong business acumen, and the ability to translate legal risks into pragmatic commercial advice aligned with business objectives.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and management skills; capable of building trust and robust relationships with the company’s sales team, cross-functional stakeholders, and customers.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-growth environment.
• Experience supporting a rapidly growing infrastructure SaaS company.
