This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to the procurement team and lead negotiations for vendor and supplier contracts that support technology, laboratory, and data operations.

• Create, review, and negotiate SaaS, technology licensing, master services, marketing, and professional services agreements.

• Draft and negotiate Data Processing Agreements and security addenda in collaboration with the privacy team.

• Offer legal advice on contract interpretation, risk management, and compliance matters.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that contractual terms are aligned with company policies and objectives.

• Develop AI-driven legal playbooks, contract templates, and internal policies.

• Keep track of legal and regulatory changes that impact commercial and corporate operations, particularly in privacy and data security.

• Assist senior legal leadership with strategic transactions, corporate governance, and corporate development initiatives.

• Utilize AI for contract review, drafting, legal research, and analysis.

• Advocate for, select, build, test, and enhance legal AI tools and workflows.


⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school with a strong academic record.

• Active member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience specializing in technology transactions and complex commercial agreements.

• Experience working in-house at a technology or data-driven company.

• Ability to negotiate complex procurement, vendor, supplier, and technology agreements independently on a global scale.

• Extensive knowledge of GDPR and CCPA/CPRA regulations.

• Practical experience in negotiating Data Processing Agreements.

• Proven proficiency in using AI for daily legal tasks, including drafting, reviewing, researching, and analyzing.

• Familiarity with legal technology and Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems.

• Experience negotiating agreements that involve AI and machine learning.

• Strong drafting and negotiation abilities.

• Excellent business judgment and communication skills.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

• CIPP/US certification is highly preferred; CIPP/E or other international certifications are a plus.

• Experience at a prestigious law firm is preferred.

• Background in developing prompts, workflows, automations, or AI/CLM tools is a significant advantage.
