This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and oversee AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts and environments.
• Create and execute system solutions that fulfill both mission and enterprise requirements.
• Install, configure, deploy, and sustain servers and software on both Windows and Linux platforms.
• Monitor system performance, diagnose issues, and ensure continuous operational integrity.
• Maintain a secure and efficient cloud-hosted infrastructure while adhering to best practices.
• Lead system upgrades, IAVA patching, and ensure STIG compliance.
• Resolve outages and performance challenges across computing, networking, and storage solutions.
• Implement disaster recovery, backup automation, failover, and resilience strategies across multiple regions.
• Manage identity and access controls, firewalls, and backup policies.
• Develop and sustain technical documentation, runbooks, and policy guides.
• Collaborate within a SAFe Agile delivery model with application, data, and security teams.
• Support IaaS, IaC, networking, and security engineering initiatives.
• Ensure systems comply with contract specifications regarding performance, availability, and security.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
• Demonstrated experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or in a similar infrastructure role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with cross-functional teams.
• Practical experience with servers, LAN/WAN networking, and patch management in virtual/cloud environments.
• Ability to interpret, clarify, and document solution requirements effectively.
• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
• Proficient in working with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience at the production level with Kubernetes/EKS and containerization (Docker/containerd, image building).
• Expertise in Active Directory and identity federation integration.
• Over 7 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
• Security+ Certification is necessary.
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins CI/CD, Terraform, and Docker.
• Experience with STIG compliance and security patching.
• Knowledge of AWS environments and cloud-native services.
• Scripting experience in Shell, Perl, PowerShell, and familiarity with automation technologies.
• Strong capabilities in Terraform (modules, state management, reusable IaC) and Ansible.
• Experience with observability and logging tools such as Splunk and CloudWatch.
