Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee and enhance our Kubernetes clusters within GKE using Terraform.

• Assist in maintaining compliance with SOC2, ISO-27001, and Cyber Essentials standards across our cloud environments.

• Design and execute golden paths and automation strategies that empower developers to self-serve while minimizing operational complexity.

• Develop and sustain infrastructure solutions that facilitate safe, easy, and efficient building and deployment for development teams.

• Act as the technical resource for GCP and Kubernetes-related inquiries, offering expertise to other Prolificos.

• Participate in our ongoing on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in administering and optimizing large-scale Kubernetes clusters.

• Proficient in Kubernetes tooling, including Helm and kustomize.

• Strong background in GitOps tooling and methodologies, such as ArgoCD.

• Demonstrated experience with Google Cloud Platform services and architecture.

• In-depth knowledge of GKE and Kubernetes, particularly in the maintenance and optimization of production clusters.

• Extensive experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.

• Solid programming abilities in Python and/or TypeScript.

• Experience in creating developer-centric documentation and self-service solutions that empower teams to easily self-serve.

• Strong customer empathy, with a commitment to addressing the needs of internal teams (our Prolificos).
