Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take charge of and manage the cloud infrastructure that supports Progress Agentic RAG across various cloud providers and regions.

• Create and operate production-ready, multi-cloud platforms utilizing Infrastructure as Code and GitOps methodologies.

• Spearhead our GitOps-driven infrastructure workflows to guarantee dependable, secure, and auditable modifications.

• Manage and expand Kubernetes environments worldwide, facilitating highly available, secure, and scalable workloads.

• Empower platform and infrastructure delivery through contemporary CI/CD and automation techniques.

• Design and uphold secure, zero-trust networking and identity frameworks across both cloud and on-premises environments.

• Develop and enhance monitoring, incident response, and operational readiness for a 24/7 production environment.

• Work in collaboration with engineering, security, and product teams to perpetually enhance reliability and the developer experience.

• Guide engineers and assist in establishing infrastructure standards, documentation, and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in designing and managing cloud or platform infrastructure at scale, emphasizing high availability, security, and disaster recovery.

• Profound hands-on knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Verified experience in running Kubernetes in production environments (GKE, EKS, AKS), including aspects of scaling, security, and observability.

• Familiarity with GitOps-based workflows and tools such as ArgoCD or similar solutions.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or GCP, including their core networking, compute, storage, and identity services.

• Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.

• Solid understanding of cloud networking and identity, encompassing zero-trust principles and workload identity.

• Capability to automate operational tasks utilizing Python/Go.

• Demonstrated experience in architecting on-premises infrastructure and managing Kubernetes on bare metal.

• Proficient in hybrid release management and artifact distribution for controlled environments.
