Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable and efficient cloud-based solutions utilizing AWS and Azure.

• Spearhead projects aimed at automating cloud infrastructure.

• Collaborate with teams to incorporate best practices in development, code quality, and automation.

• Mentor and guide development teams, offering expertise in DevOps and automation methodologies.

• Contribute to the design and execution of cloud applications leveraging serverless architectures, Kubernetes, and event-driven patterns.

• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enhance deployment processes, employing GitOps strategies.

• Implement security best practices to establish secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.

• Monitor and enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of cloud applications.

• Keep abreast of the latest cloud technologies and development trends, applying new tools and frameworks as necessary.

• Ensure that software systems fulfill functional and non-functional requirements while conforming to best practices in software design, testing, and security.

• Promote continuous improvement by sharing knowledge, conducting team reviews, and mentoring junior developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a comparable position, with a strong emphasis on AWS (or Azure Cloud).

• Solid background in DevOps practices with knowledge of software development.

• Proficiency in automating AWS/Azure infrastructure.

• Skilled in programming languages such as Python, Golang, or JavaScript.

• Experience with serverless architectures, Kubernetes, and event-driven patterns.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps methodologies.

• Strong grasp of cloud security best practices.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to work collaboratively in a team setting.

• Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Preferred qualifications:

• Experience designing and working with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.

• Expertise in software architecture, development, and systems testing, with a significant focus on cloud technologies.

• Strong technical guidance and decision-making skills to shape solutions and enforce development best practices.
