This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
β’ Lead projects for migrating Azure tenants from one to another, encompassing planning, execution, and post-migration enhancements.
β’ Supervise extensive file migrations from on-premises systems to Azure Files, SharePoint Online, and various Microsoft cloud services.
β’ Drive initiatives for cloud cost optimization across Azure and M365, including right-sizing, reserved instances/savings plans, license rationalization, and FinOps reporting to achieve quantifiable savings.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to evaluate, strategize, and implement cloud modernization and migration initiatives.
β’ Spearhead integration projects across multiple platforms and tools.
β’ Design, construct, and sustain integrations using REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks, and event-driven architectures to facilitate secure and scalable data exchange across cloud platforms.
β’ Create automation workflows.
β’ Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance throughout all migration, integration, and platform operations, in accordance with the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework.
β’ Provide expert support for Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), identity management, conditional access, and Zero Trust controls.
β’ Design and uphold business continuity and disaster recovery solutions, including Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, geo-redundancy, and verified RTO/RPO targets, to maintain resilient AvonRisk operations.
β’ Develop and manage automation scripts and Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, ARM, or Terraform) for migration, provisioning, monitoring, and operational efficiency.
β’ Establish and enforce Azure governance, including landing zones, management groups, policies, RBAC, and tagging, in line with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.
β’ Mentor junior engineers and act as the highest-level escalation point for cloud infrastructure and platform issues.
β’ Diagnose and resolve complex challenges related to cloud infrastructure, migration, and integration across Azure and M365.
β’ Stay updated on emerging Azure and M365 features, recommending best practices and innovations that align with industry-standard cloud architecture principles.
β’ At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in enterprise settings.
β’ Demonstrated proficiency in Azure tenant-to-tenant migrations, including domain and identity migrations.
β’ Proven track record with large-scale file migrations from on-premises to Azure Files, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
β’ Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Zero Trust security, and compliance frameworks.
β’ Experience with Azure cost management and FinOps practices, including budgets, reservations, savings plans, and chargeback/showback methodologies.
β’ Familiarity with platform integrations across various tools.
β’ Experience in designing and managing Microsoft 365 services at scale, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams, including governance and lifecycle management.
β’ Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep, ARM, or Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
β’ Advanced skills in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, or similar languages).
