This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Participation in a project related to the migration of data to a newer, unified system for the client and the recreation of logic within the new solution.
• Close collaboration with the client (Insurance industry) to effectively meet their expectations – refining requirements and maintaining ongoing communication.
• Creation and modification of documentation.
• Analysis and optimization of solutions for the system either in operation or during the design phase.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT, including at least 3.5 years working with cloud data (Azure/GCP/AWS).
• Proficiency in SQL at an **advanced** level.
• Commercial experience in processing large datasets using **Databricks**.
• Familiarity with concepts typical of the Insurance industry.
• Experience in **data migration** and **data modeling**.
• Ability to create and optimize data processing solutions (ETL vs ELT) and basic knowledge of cloud tools supporting these solutions.
• Familiarity with Delta Lake and Data Lakehouse concepts.
• Knowledge of SMP and MPP architectures along with examples of solutions based on these architectures.
• Understanding of mechanisms related to the secure storage and processing of data in the cloud.
• Well-developed **soft skills** and experience in direct and independent communication with clients.
• Conscious use of **Generative AI** in software development processes and in architectural and technological decisions.
• Proficient in **English** at an intermediate level (minimum B2) and able to communicate fluently in **Polish**.
• Significant freedom to operate and real influence on the direction of projects.
• Projects for clients in Europe and the USA – industries include tourism, insurance, energy, pharmaceuticals, and finance.
