Senior Clinical Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Create and/or assess departmental operating procedures.

• Formulate study protocols for conducting experiments, evaluating, and documenting outcomes.

• Adhere to standard and complex procedures while executing studies, evaluations, and documentation of results.

• Contribute to the formulation of clinical strategies for product development.

• Design, implement, and oversee Abbott-sponsored external clinical studies, including PMA and outcome studies.

• Identify and assess external clinical sites.

• Establish and uphold operating procedures.

• Engage in clinical strategy development to facilitate product development and market launch.

• Participate in cross-functional product development initiatives, including risk management.

• Complete clinical studies efficiently and on schedule to meet product development objectives and timelines for product introduction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (± 16 years) in a relevant field and/or a suitable combination of education and professional experience.

• At least 8 years of experience in conducting clinical studies or relevant laboratory skills.

• Experience with medical device-related studies is preferred.

• Familiarity with regulations governing medical devices is advantageous.

• Preferred experience in conducting medical device clinical trials, particularly TAVR.

• Experience with Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) trials.

• Management experience with physicians.

• Safety management experience is a plus.

• Experience collaborating with external clinical research committees (e.g., screening committees, DSMB, CEC).

• Willingness to travel around 10% of the time.
