This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Oversee and manage oncology clinical research projects at domestic, regional, and/or global levels.
• Develop and lead project teams while managing communications, risks, scope, schedules, costs, quality, and stakeholder relations.
• Proactively mitigate project variances and ensure client expectations are fulfilled.
• Act as the primary client liaison and build relationships with client project teams.
• Lead core project teams and promote cross-functional collaboration among both internal and external stakeholders.
• Appropriately escalate project issues to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Deliver projects within the agreed-upon scope, schedule, cost, and quality parameters.
• Manage both internal and external change control procedures.
• Oversee quality control and risk assurance activities.
• Create, monitor, and adjust project plans in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure that all assigned staff comply with professional standards and SOPs.
• Develop and sustain project performance indicators and client metrics.
• Determine project resource requirements and succession strategies.
• Prepare and present new business pitches.
• Train and mentor Project Management Academy Project Coordinators and project team members.
• Support line management with onboarding, professional development, retention efforts, performance evaluations, and succession planning.
• Evaluate project management competencies and formulate developmental plans.
• Provide technical assistance to designated project leaders.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Candidates must be located in the United States or Canada.
• A university/college degree (preferably in life sciences) or certification in a related allied health field from a recognized institution.
• Relevant and equivalent experience may be accepted in place of formal educational qualifications.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of pertinent clinical research experience within a pharmaceutical company or Contract Research Organization (CRO).
• At least two (2) years of comprehensive project management responsibility.
• Experience in oncology is required.
• Proficient understanding of ICH Guidelines and GCP, including international regulatory requirements for clinical development programs.
• Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Access, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in managing projects within a matrix and virtual environment.
• Exceptional communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Capability to lead by example and motivate team members to find solutions independently.
• Competence in managing multiple competing priorities and effectively utilizing resources.
• Ability to foster effective teamwork and inspire staff within a matrix structure.
• Financial acumen and proficiency in financial tracking systems.
• Solid knowledge of project management processes.
• Ability to work autonomously and mentor junior project team members.
• Proficient in negotiating and liaising with clients in a professional manner.
• Capable of presenting information to staff at various levels.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or other advanced qualifications.
• Preferred: PMP certification.
• Preferred: Experience in the biotech industry.
• Preferred: Proficiency in Chinese/Mandarin.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods and operate a vehicle safely.
• Capability to perform repetitive hand motions and engage in occasional crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting.
• Ability to access and utilize both in-house and commercial computer software.
• Ability to lift and carry 15–20 lbs.
