Senior Clinical Project Manager – Oncology

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for proactively enhancing project performance to meet contracted deliverables while satisfying customer expectations and ensuring operational excellence.

• Take charge of the customer relationship while leveraging the expertise available within the Company.

• Foster communication and collaboration with clients and project teams across a diverse, multi-cultural environment.

• Spearhead the development of project strategies, ensuring prioritization with the project team and key stakeholders, and focus on creating clear, data-driven strategies alongside proactive management of project scope, timelines, quality, and budget.

• In partnership with relevant departments, prepare and present materials for new business opportunities as necessary.

• Lead the identification of project, financial, and quality risks by applying comprehensive risk management practices and quality by design principles.

• Effectively utilize data sources, dashboards, and risk management strategies to foster innovation and proactive problem-solving within project and client teams.

• Ensure compliance with project governance and issue escalation procedures, confirming that project plans are established to address identified risks while adhering to professional standards, SOPs, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with project team members and key stakeholders to manage project budgets, resources, and scope effectively.

• Ensure compliance with established budgetary and financial milestones.

• Responsible for accurately forecasting project revenue and managing costs in alignment with the budget.

• Lead the timely management of scope changes and the change order process.

• Ensure the project team is aware of and tracking KPIs relevant to any client-specific metrics.

• Provide inspiring leadership and play a pivotal role in creating high-performing project teams.

• Facilitate communication and teamwork while driving project delivery, ensuring that team members are clear on contracted scope, timelines, and budget.

• Ensure that resource projections are accurate and visible to resourcing teams, proactively raising awareness of resource constraints and challenges.

• Develop and mentor team members across various areas of expertise and provide constructive feedback to their respective line managers.


⛳️ Requirements

• University or college degree (preferably in life sciences) or certification in a related allied health profession (e.g., nursing, medical, or laboratory technology).

• A minimum of five (5+) years of pertinent clinical research experience within a pharmaceutical company or CRO.

• At least three (3) years of clinical project management experience in a CRO or pharmaceutical setting.

• Strong background in oncology.

• Experience managing the end-to-end clinical trial lifecycle or handling large-scale projects in other sectors.

• Familiarity with ICH Guidelines and GCP, including international regulatory requirements for clinical development programs.

• Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Access, and PowerPoint).

• Experience overseeing projects in a matrix and virtual environment.

• Exceptional communication, planning, and organizational abilities.

• Proven capability to lead by example and encourage team members to independently seek solutions.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities while utilizing resources efficiently.

• Proven ability to inspire effective teamwork and motivate staff within a matrix structure.

• Financial awareness and ability to actively engage with financial tracking systems.

• Ability to work autonomously and mentor junior project team members.

• Proficiency in negotiating and liaising with clients in a professional manner.

• Capability to present information to staff at all levels.
