This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Assess specimen acceptability based on established criteria.
• Conduct routine and advanced technical procedures in accordance with departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Oversee, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Make informed technical decisions concerning testing and problem resolution.
• Prepare, evaluate, and test new reagents or controls.
• Deliver accurate and prompt test results to facilitate quality patient care.
• Execute and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• At least 4 years of experience in cytogenetics testing.
• Comprehensive understanding of laboratory operations, policies, and procedures.
• Experience in a high-volume laboratory setting.
• Computer proficiency; familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
• Capability to meet the physical demands of the role.
• Must pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Willingness to work overtime or alternate shifts based on business requirements.
• Dedicated home office space that complies with HIPAA standards.
• Consent to have home address included in reports for analyzed or reported cases, as mandated by CMS.
• Wired or wireless internet connection with a minimum speed of 100 mb/sec.
• Ability to work effectively from home in a dynamic, multi-site environment while managing competing priorities.
