This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the Patient Access application(s)/module(s) of Epic with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other applications to achieve development and implementation goals.
• Manage shifting and competing priorities within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Act as project lead for significant initiatives and fulfill assigned project management responsibilities.
• Create, document, and adhere to internal procedures for associated applications and systems.
• Comprehend and document existing clinical workflows while suggesting optimized future workflows.
• Present opportunities for system enhancements and innovative technical solutions for clinic-related scenarios.
• Identify, construct, and showcase application configuration prototypes for evaluation and approval.
• Conduct ongoing maintenance and configuration updates for the Epic application.
• Develop test scripts, schedules, and plans for application and workflow modifications.
• Evaluate clinical information system configurations and processes across various applications.
• Coordinate testing with requestors and users for application changes.
• Provide tier-two end-user support, both remotely and in-person.
• Monitor, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incoming support tickets.
• Act as a liaison between users and vendors, coordinating fixes and changes with software providers.
• Collaborate with the training team and operations for application-change deployments.
• Execute other assigned tasks as necessary.
• Engage professionally with leadership, faculty, staff, and vendors.
• Proven experience in Epic Cadence configuration, build, and support.
• Proven experience in Epic Referrals configuration, build, and support.
• Proven experience in Epic Decision Tree configuration, build, and support.
• A Bachelor's Degree or four additional years of relevant build experience is required.
• At least five (5) years of directly related Epic experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of software development/build lifecycles.
• Capacity to work autonomously and handle multiple assignments concurrently in a complex setting.
• Advanced critical and analytical thinking skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and follow-up capabilities.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Epic certification must be sustained according to Epic Corporation standards within 18 months of hire.
• Preferred certifications include Cadence, Prelude, and Referrals.
• May need to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure as per Texas EO-GA-48.
