This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +4 more states.
β’ Enhance the comprehension, integration, and application of healthcare data and information technology to support academic research and tackle healthcare business challenges.
β’ Act as a liaison between physicians and research personnel to interpret data requirements and assist in understanding analytical results.
β’ Leverage expertise in healthcare and experience within clinical environments to provide value and insights through high-quality data and analytical solutions.
β’ Offer specialized knowledge regarding the application of clinical ontologies, vocabularies, and code sets to support both internally and externally sourced data.
β’ Contribute to the formulation of business rules and corresponding code-based definitions related to clinical data domains.
β’ Collaborate with teams across health plan, clinical, administrative, and IT units to identify clinical data requirements, assess opportunities to meet those needs through data and analytics, and engage in the development and delivery of analytical solutions.
β’ Aid in the design, construction, and deployment of comprehensive analytic data solutions, including but not limited to real-time/streaming analytics and alerting, data integration and interoperability, NLP, and AI/ML algorithms.
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Informatics, Health Information Management, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
β’ 5 years of experience in a Clinical Care environment, such as ambulatory, hospital, or post-acute settings.
β’ 3 years of direct experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems like EPIC, Cerner, Allscripts, or similar platforms.
β’ 3 years in Clinical Workflow, Clinical Systems, and the foundational data used to support clinical decision-making.
β’ 3 years in Data Analysis, Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Reporting.
β’ Over 1 year of experience working with healthcare claims data.
β’ Background in supporting academic or scholarly research, including manuscript preparation and adherence to data documentation and reporting standards.
β’ Clinical licensure (e.g., nursing) or Clinical coding certification.
