This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Reviewing and refining a diverse array of scientific documents, such as clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, publications, and presentations, while ensuring compliance with quality standards and consistency.
• Working alongside medical writers to enhance the clarity and effectiveness of scientific materials, offering insights on structure, style, and language.
• Guaranteeing adherence to relevant regulatory requirements, guidelines, and best practices in the fields of medical writing and publishing.
• Mentoring and training junior editors and medical writers to cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in scientific communication.
• Conducting comprehensive fact-checking and data verification to maintain the accuracy and reliability of published content.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulatory updates, and advancements in medical writing and editing methodologies.
• Engaging in the creation and execution of standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to document editing and quality assurance.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline or a field related to communications.
• Significant experience in medical editing, with a solid grasp of clinical research and regulatory documentation.
• Outstanding editing and proofreading abilities, with a sharp focus on detail and the capacity to elevate the clarity and impact of scientific content.
• Strong familiarity with medical terminology and conventions of scientific writing, along with experience using editing style guides.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in editing software and tools, as well as document management systems.
• Proven capability to manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
