• Join a team dedicated to expanding our municipal practice, with sales objectives for projects ranging from $500K to $3M.
• Cultivate client accounts and promote the comprehensive range of services offered by Woodard & Curran.
• Provide advisory services to clients and project teams.
• Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and budget estimates.
• Negotiate the terms for service delivery.
• Foster account relationships to enhance revenue growth.
• Collaborate with our Marketing team to create offerings and positioning materials.
• Attend and actively participate in sales meetings.
• Ensure timely invoicing for client accounts and manage the collection of overdue payments.
• Facilitate connections for senior and technical staff.
• Proactively identify opportunities to provide teams with ample time for project positioning.
• Participate in conferences and workshops to strengthen current relationships, forge new client connections, and recognize emerging technologies and market trends.
• Exhibit a commitment to serve and lead within a focused, dynamic team environment.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the account management team.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and experience in execution and management within the marketplace.
• A bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Proven experience in selling to various executive and plant-level roles within public sector clients, including engineering, environmental health & safety, sustainability, operations, capital project management, and procurement.
• Capable of identifying, leading, and participating in business development initiatives, bids, and proposal efforts.
• A strong desire to drive organizational growth and the capability to inspire others.
• Thorough understanding of the business development cycle, particularly as it pertains to consulting, including opportunity identification, proposal creation, and presentation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within the Midwest US to client and company facilities up to 20% of the time.
• Open to remote work opportunities.
• Experience with US municipal sales is preferred.
