This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Join a team dedicated to expanding our municipal practice, with sales targets for projects ranging from $500K to $3M.
• Develop client accounts and promote the comprehensive range of services offered by Woodard & Curran.
• Provide expert consultation to clients and project teams.
• Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and budget estimates.
• Negotiate service delivery terms effectively.
• Foster account relationships to drive revenue growth.
• Collaborate with our Marketing team to create offerings and positioning materials.
• Participate in sales meetings actively.
• Ensure timely invoicing for client accounts and manage the collection of overdue payments.
• Facilitate introductions for senior and technical staff.
• Proactively identify opportunities to allow teams adequate time to strategize for work.
• Attend conferences and workshops to enhance existing relationships, forge new client connections, and recognize emerging technologies and market trends.
• Exhibit a strong desire to serve and lead within a focused and dynamic team environment.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the account management team.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience or a suitable combination of education and experience in marketplace execution and management.
• A bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Proven experience selling to various executive and plant-level functions within public sector clients, including engineering, environmental health & safety, sustainability, operations, capital project management, and procurement.
• Capability to identify, lead, and engage in business development, bidding, and proposal initiatives.
• A strong drive to grow an organization and the ability to inspire others.
• Familiarity with the business development cycle specific to the consulting industry, including opportunity identification, proposal creation, and presentations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within the Midwest US to client and company locations, up to 20% of the time.
• Open to remote work arrangements.
• Prior experience in US municipal sales is preferred.
