Senior Claims Attorney – Coverage Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Acts as a principal legal advisor for casualty claims, with an emphasis on coverage analysis and strategic planning.

• Collaborates closely with claims professionals and leadership to assess policy coverage, evaluate legal risks, and develop resolution strategies for high-exposure and litigated cases.

• Offers expert interpretation of insurance policies, formulates defensible coverage positions, and shapes outcomes through proactive legal guidance.

• Manages outside counsel in coverage-related litigation, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, efficient case management, and effective cost control.

• Aids in training initiatives, establishes best practices, and promotes consistency in the application of coverage across the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires 7+ years of pertinent experience or a blend of related experience, education, and training.

• Must possess Claims Coverage experience.

• Must have successfully passed the Bar exam.
