Senior Civil Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nicaragua.

📋 Description

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates and finalize bid packages for civil site construction projects.

• Execute quantity takeoffs for:

• - Underground utilities

• - Stormwater management systems

• - Water lines

• - Bulk earthwork (cut/fill)

• Assist throughout the entire bid lifecycle, which includes:

• - Bid preparation

• - Bid revisions

• - Vendor and subcontractor outreach

• - Bid submissions

• - Preconstruction coordination

• Keep estimating documentation organized and ensure the accuracy of estimates across multiple concurrent bids.

• Work alongside estimating leadership to enhance bid throughput and reduce turnaround times.

• Operate within established estimating workflows while recognizing opportunities for increased efficiency.

• Assist with additional preconstruction and operational responsibilities as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of estimating experience in civil site construction.

• Proficient in using Bid2Win (B2W) / Trimble estimating software.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Background in estimating U.S.-based construction projects.

• In-depth knowledge of:

• - Underground utilities

• - Stormwater systems

• - Water line installation

• - Earthwork and grading

• - Site development

• Experience with both public and private sector projects.

• Strong skills in quantity takeoff and bid preparation.

• Capability to work independently in a fully remote, full-time position.

• Proven experience in creating estimates and managing bid packages within the platform.

• Background in fast-paced estimating environments with multiple simultaneous bids.
