This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a diverse team of technical leaders across various practice areas to deliver professional consulting services to our key clients.

• Utilize technical expertise to lead and support Environmental Remediation and Coal Ash closure projects within the department.

• Build robust relationships with team members and clients to facilitate the pursuit of new opportunities.

• Effectively communicate with project team members, clients, site personnel, and office management.

• Work independently as well as part of a project team.

• Oversee the technical, cost, and schedule components of project delivery.

• Ensure the quality of field efforts and project deliverables aligns with the AECOM Quality Management System.

• Act as a technical advisor for the team.

• Provide specialized technical input to studies and designs in the staff's specific area of expertise.

• Develop study and design procedures to enable high-quality, cost-effective work by others.

• Participate in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables.

• Create construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates for projects.

• Conduct quality control reviews of design calculations or drawings.

• Prepare sections of technical specifications.

• Contribute to the development of engineering budgets and schedules to meet project requirements.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or a related field, plus 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

• Experience working with Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR).

• A valid U.S. Driver's License.

• Must successfully pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review.

• A Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred.

• 7+ years of relevant experience at an engineering consulting firm is preferred.

• Ability to proactively lead technical efforts and project team staff is preferred.

• Experience as a Senior Project Engineer on large-scale projects, including landfills, material excavation and dewatering, and coal ash closure is preferred.

• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification is preferred.
